As many as a dozen law enforcement helicopters from throughout the region gathered on the ramp of Sheltair’s Republic Airport terminal, 1100 New Highway, East Farmingdale, on November 10th prior to flying a formation tribute flight in memory of New York City Police Sergeant Paul Tuozzolo who died while seeking to apprehend a criminal.
Sheltair provided logistics support for the flight, including a secure conference room where flight parameters were reviewed by police pilots from a variety of departments in the New York metro area.
Sheltair’s director of marketing, Karen Kroeppel stated, “Sheltair honors the memory of Sgt. Tuozzolo, all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and those who continue to serve in law enforcement. We are equally honored to be able to support this tribute flight as it underscored our shared grief and deep respect for this fallen officer.”
