Line Service Supervisor - New York, NY (JFK)

Job Description:

The Line Service Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising and coordinating the activities of the line service technicians providing aircraft refueling and exceptional customer service to discriminating general aviation customers. The LSS also ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations, trains new employees and assigns duties to his/her direct reports, maintains fuel inventories, ensures the safe and efficient use of equipment, and orders supplies and equipment as necessary. In this role, the LSS ensures new procedures are followed to the letter and new information is passed on to the technicians. An important responsibility of the LSS, as a first and last contact as customers arrive and depart the facilities, is to represent Sheltair in a positive and professional manner, while developing and maintaining excellent relationships with customers.   Although delivering customer service is top priority, many daily tasks involve physical activities such as climbing ladders, pulling fuel hoses and carrying baggage. In addition, the LSS assists with ramp operations such as towing, wing-walking, directing and parking aircraft as necessary. The LSS leads by example when working alongside his/her direct reports and provides the manager with input regarding staffing, scheduling, on-the-job training, employee rewards and employee performance.

The LSS must be able to accommodate long hours during busy periods and special event periods.

 

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED;
  • A minimum of one to three years’’ relevant experience in related field;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer service skills;
  • A valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to handle moderate to heavy physical activity to fuel aircraft and handle baggage – must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Base Safety Coordinator - New York, NY (JFK)

Job Description:

Provide initial and recurrent hands-on training for line staff, including an emphasis on safety, service, efficiency and performance. Training to be facilitated in the classroom and on the job. Monitor and document new hires’ progression in the various stages of learning and report progress monthly to GM. Ensure full compliance with all rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the company and industry. Qualify trainees’ when performing driving tasks with tugs, fuel trucks, golf carts, and crew vehicles if applicable. Perform administrative tasks, clerical tasks and projects as needed. Will be required to meet with the Director of Safety and other members of the management team to monitor employee progress and address performance strengths/weaknesses. Work hand-in-hand with Line Manager to mentor and ensure employees’ realize their full potential and have opportunities for continued growth. Facilitate and arrange safety meetings, briefings, fire drills and hurricane plan. Recommend new policies as necessary for base specific safety and operational procedures. Fill in for line staff, QC and line supervisor as operation requires.

Job Description:

The Sales & Marketing Analyst will support and facilitate the development of sales and marketing campaigns for various aspects of the business. The successful candidate is a strategic thinker, detail oriented and an organized self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, update and maintain CRM data integrity
  • Responsible for facilitating data mining and executes queries to process data from multiple sources

Project Manager of Client Services - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Job Description:

The job of Project Manager of Client Services is a multi-faceted position that supports our Properties, Construction and Leasing Divisions to facilitate and expedite the development of Tenant (TI) Plans. This person will be responsible for coordinating and managing the different disciplines involved in the process from design conception, thru permitting, tenant build-out, completion and certificate of occupancy. This position acts as the liaison between the tenant, the project architect, the Construction Division and the Properties Division

Sheltair’s tenant base consists primarily of commercial office space for Aviation related businesses. Many of these tenants also occupy hangar space for private aircraft, or for businesses that support General Aviation operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Architect and the Tenant to assist the Tenant in the understanding of space plans, finishes, and design requirements, and to create tenant renderings where necessary
  • Act as the project manager overseeing the construction documents, permitting, finish selection, developing the construction timeline schedule, and then assist in bidding procurement from sub-contractors.
  • Manage the tenant process through all phases to assure that goals, budgets and deadlines are met
  • Utilize, maintain and add to a library of building standard finishes, furnishings and upgrades that support tenant selections throughout the Sheltair network
  • Supports the Properties staff with prospective, new and current tenants through the build-out process throughout our network of locations in Florida, GA, and New York, and elsewhere as needed, and work in consort with Property Managers to support lease fulfillment move-in goals
  • Preparation and auto cad, revit or 20/20 experience

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Interior Design or Architecture or similar credentials
  • 5 years’ experience in commercial design work.
  • Familiarity with commercial finishes, fixtures and products.

Part-Time Ramp Host/Hostess - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Job Description:

  • The ramp hostess position requires an individual who understands the value of excellent customer service and the ancillary services that are provided by Sheltair to our customers. This position will communicate and provide the necessary resources and services to meet the customer's needs. The Concierge will report to the Line Service Manager and will work with the complete management/supervisory team to ensure prompt responses to our customer's inquiries and requests, and to immediately notify the proper manager/supervisor in the event of any issues or concerns. The position requires the Concierge to work both inside the Executive Terminal and outside on the Aircraft Parking Ramp

    • Meeting, greeting and welcoming the passengers and flight crews of customer aircraft that arrive on the aircraft parking ramp
    • Directing the customers to the terminal facility for facility use or to meet guest's picking them up
    • Pulling rental vehicles around to meet the aircraft so the customer can drive themselves to their destination where applicable
    • Assist with the offloading of luggage/baggage
    • Once the passengers are taken care of, assist the flight crews with any service needs they may require including baggage and transportation assistance
    • Direct the flight crews to the terminal for placing any fuel or service orders
    • Assist the flight crews with trash removal and cleaning of the interior of the aircraft when requested
    • During departure preparation, assist the flight crews with delivery of catering, coffee, ice and newspapers
    • Follow up and ensure all fuel and service orders for departure have been completed so the aircraft can depart on time
    • Assist with loading of luggage from the baggage carts or transportation vehicles into the aircraft
    • Returning rental vehicles from the aircraft parking ramp to the vehicle parking Jot
    • Assist fellow teammates where applicable when not servicing the customer
    • Thank the customers for their business and visit, welcome them back to visit again
    • Assist with improving Best Practices to provide Excellent Customer Service

     

    Skills:

    • Must be well organized

GAFIS Cashier - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Job Description:

  • The GAFIS cashier is responsible for collecting user fees for all passengers and crew who has cleared US Customs and utilized Sheltair facilities as well as Broward County Aviation Department issued landing fees. The GAFIS clerk is also responsible for ensuring the security of the SIDA ramp and maintaining the facility in a safe and clean condition.    

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The GAFIS cashier will interact with customers to include crew members and passengers, US Border Patrol and Inspection employees.
    • Work with line technicians from various companies on a routine basis.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 1+ years’ experience in a cashier role.
    • Basic computer skills.

Line Service Manager - Jacksonville, FL

Job Description:

The Line Service Manager is responsible for leading and directing the day-to-day line service operation and the line service personnel.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following…

  • Maintain company issued service standards, safety standards and security procedures
  • Assist in the hiring process, perform reviews, evaluations, or disciplinary actions for members of the line service team.
  • Oversee all aspects of the training process for line personnel both new and recurrent
  • Lead the day-today operations and provide guidance to the line service team

The Line Service Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising and coordinating the activities of the line service technicians providing aircraft refueling and exceptional customer service to discriminating general aviation customers. The LSS also ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations, trains new employees and assigns duties to his/her direct reports, maintains fuel inventories, ensures the safe and efficient use of equipment, and orders supplies and equipment as necessary. In this role, the LSS ensures new procedures are followed to the letter and new information is passed on to the technicians.
